Humorous Fix/Intersection Names


Here are some fix and intersection names found on aeronautical charts that show either irony or a sense of humor on the part of whoever's job it is to come up with the names.  If you know of any others to be added to the list, please email me at bobc@smart.net.

PRUDE - near Cincinnati (you need to know how straightlaced Cincinnati blue laws can be..)

MANUR - Near Chino, directly above some of the hugest cattle herds in California

BRIBE - near Chicago

ELVIS - near (where else?) Memphis

One of my favorite approaches is Lebanon, NH - IAF is BURGR, followed shortly by FRYYS

If I remember correctly, SATAN is near Salem Mass

SISKL and EBBRT - near Las Vegas

Don't know where it is, but in my IFR training, one of the CFI's mentioned an intersection somewhere called BOND. One of the radials comprising this intersections is what else?

007 degree radial.
